CM Chandrababu Urges Caution in AP Bhavan Encroachment Removal, Stresses Respect for Sentiments
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has intervened in the ongoing efforts to clear encroachments at the AP Bhavan premises in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of sensitivity and restraint—especially when religious sentiments are involved.
During a review meeting with senior officials, the Chief Minister was briefed on encroachments covering approximately 0.37 acres of land within the AP Bhavan compound. Officials informed him that among the identified structures were two prayer halls, which would need to be removed as part of the clearance.
In response, Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to halt the demolition process, particularly in relation to the prayer halls. He advised them to proceed cautiously and avoid actions that might hurt public or religious sentiments. Following his directive, officials have paused the encroachment removal operation to reassess the situation.
The Chief Minister’s intervention highlights his commitment to ensuring that administrative actions are handled with cultural sensitivity and in a manner that fosters public trust and communal harmony.
