Over the past five years of the YSR Congress tenure, there have been significant concerns regarding Jagan Mohan Reddy’s accessibility to the general public. Surrounded by a close-knit group, he was often perceived as disconnected, having not conducted a single mass outreach program like Racha Banda or Praja Darbar during his term.
In contrast, Chandrababu Naidu is making concerted efforts to address the shortcomings of his predecessor. He has prioritized maintaining close contact with the public.
Recently, Chandrababu Naidu personally participated in a pension distribution program, directly handing over pension amounts to beneficiaries. This marks the first instance in India where a Chief Minister has personally distributed pension money to the public, showcasing a notable shift in his approach.
While the opposition frequently criticized Jagan for his inaccessibility, he largely ignored these concerns. However, upon taking office, Chandrababu Naidu has remained in the public eye, with today’s program underscoring this commitment. This highlights the primary distinction between Jagan and Naidu – the capacity to adapt and effectively meet the needs of the public.
