Chandrababu Naidu’s Successful Visit to Davos Boosts Andhra Pradesh’s Investment Prospects
Amaravati, Jan 23: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s four-day visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos has successfully raised the state’s profile, with significant strides made towards attracting global investments, the state government announced on Thursday.
During his participation in the prestigious annual meeting, Naidu engaged with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of prominent global companies and representatives from various countries. His focused discussions and active participation in round-table conferences helped position Andhra Pradesh as a prime investment destination.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Naidu’s efforts have paid off, with multiple investors expressing interest in establishing businesses in the state. The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s new policies, aimed at promoting industries, and emphasized the vision of “Swarnandhra-2047” as part of the state’s long-term developmental goals. He also extended an invitation to investors, urging them to visit Andhra Pradesh and explore the investment opportunities in person.
On the first day of his visit, Naidu discussed potential investment opportunities with the Indian ambassador to Switzerland, Mrudul Kumar. Later, he engaged with the Europe TDP Forum and interacted with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), strengthening the ties between Andhra Pradesh and the diaspora.
Naidu also held a productive meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, where they shared insights on the developmental activities in both states and discussed further investment avenues. Additionally, Naidu participated in the Meet-and-Greet program with industrialists from both Telugu-speaking states.
On the second day, Naidu addressed a session hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on green industrialization, underscoring India’s potential as a global hub for entrepreneurs. He emphasized that Indians possess the ability to thrive as global-level entrepreneurs, aligning with the vision of a sustainable industrial future for the country.
The visit to Davos marks a significant step in Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to bolster its investment landscape and solidify its position as a key player in India’s economic growth trajectory.
