Amaravati Development Reignited by TDP Government
The previous YSR Congress government’s approach significantly tarnished Amaravati’s reputation and image. However, this era has ended with the advent of the TDP-led government, which has prioritized the development of Amaravati.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who recently visited Delhi and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appears to have initiated efforts to rejuvenate Amaravati. During his visit, Naidu reportedly requested Modi to expedite the return of central government offices to Amaravati. Modi is said to have responded positively, assuring swift action.
Remarkably, within 24 hours of Naidu’s visit, 45 central offices, which had previously been allocated land in Amaravati, have begun the process of relocating to the capital area. These offices, initially scheduled to move to Amaravati before 2019, had been delayed due to the YSR Congress government’s policies.
Naidu’s renewed efforts to rebuild Amaravati have led to these 45 central offices notifying the Amaravati Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) of their return. The CRDA is now expected to undertake a jungle clearance program to prepare the previously allocated lands for these offices.
