Chandrababu Naidu Orders Investigation into Pastor Praveen Kumar’s Death Near Rajahmundry
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has responded swiftly to the growing concerns surrounding the death of Pastor Praveen Kumar, who was found dead near Rajahmundry. Naidu has instructed officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, leaving no stone unturned in examining all possible angles related to the case.
State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha also took immediate action by contacting the East Godavari District Superintendent of Police, Narasimha Kishore, to gather information about the incident. In addition, she directed authorities to review CCTV footage from the area where the incident occurred to gain further clarity on the circumstances leading to the death.
The incident took place near Komthuru, on the outskirts of Rajahmundry, around midnight, when Pastor Praveen Kumar, who was traveling from Hyderabad on a Bullet motorcycle, reportedly lost control of his vehicle. Rajanagaram Circle Inspector Veeraiah Goud confirmed that the motorcycle slipped off the road, causing the vehicle to fall on the pastor, leading to fatal injuries. He further stated that the incident went unnoticed until the following morning, around 9 a.m.
While the authorities have provided an explanation for the tragic accident, Christian groups in the region have raised concerns and doubts about the circumstances surrounding Pastor Praveen Kumar’s death. Protests have been organized in Rajahmundry by the Christian community, calling for a more detailed inquiry into the incident.
In light of these concerns, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has urged the police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into all aspects of the case to ensure transparency and justice. As the investigation continues, the case remains a point of contention and public interest in the region.
