The much-anticipated film Mega 157, starring legendary actor Megastar Chiranjeevi, officially commenced its regular shoot on Friday, setting the stage for what is expected to be a high-octane entertainer. Directed by hitmaker Anil Ravipudi, the film began filming shortly after Chiranjeevi completed his look test at Annapurna Studios.
The first schedule is reportedly focused on key sequences involving Chiranjeevi and other principal cast members. The production team is moving ahead with full momentum, determined to wrap up shooting by the end of the year.
Adding further excitement to the project is the presence of Nayanthara as the female lead. Her casting was recently unveiled through a special announcement video that quickly garnered attention across social media platforms.
Anil Ravipudi, known for crowd-pleasers like Sarileru Neekevvaru, Bhagavanth Kesari, and Sankranthiki Vachestunnam, is aiming to deliver another commercial hit infused with his signature blend of humor, action, and emotion. Music for Mega 157 is being composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, promising an energetic soundtrack to complement the film’s dynamic narrative.
The movie is a joint production between Sahu Garapati and Sushmitha Konidela, under the banners of Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments.
With a Sankranti 2026 release on the cards, Mega 157 is already generating major buzz among fans and industry watchers alike. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi, who recently wrapped filming on Vishwambhara, is also expected to collaborate next with Dasara director Srikanth Odela, following the completion of this project.
