Amaravati Infrastructure Development Gets Boost with ₹11,000 Crore Loan Agreement
In a landmark move for the development of Andhra Pradesh’s capital city, Amaravati, an agreement was signed today between the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO). The agreement, which was signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, paves the way for an ₹11,000 crore loan from HUDCO to fund infrastructure development in the city.
The event was also attended by P. Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development of Andhra Pradesh, and Sanjay Kulshreshtha, Chairman and Managing Director of HUDCO. This deal follows the approval of the loan during HUDCO’s board meeting on January 22, and today’s signing formalizes the loan arrangement.
The ₹11,000 crore funding is expected to expedite the ongoing construction and urbanization efforts in Amaravati. With this financial backing, the development of key infrastructure projects in the city is set to move forward swiftly, bringing the vision of a modern capital closer to reality.
The funding will aid in constructing critical infrastructure such as roads, utilities, public facilities, and housing projects, significantly contributing to the growth and modernization of Amaravati. This step is seen as a major boost for the city, accelerating the pace of its development and reinforcing the government’s commitment to building a world-class capital.
