Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu Inaugurates International Temples Conference in Tirupati
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently inaugurated the highly anticipated International Temples Conference in Tirupati, an event dubbed the “Mahakumbh of Temples.” This three-day conference has garnered widespread attention, attracting representatives from 1,581 temples across 58 countries.
Key dignitaries who attended the inauguration included Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu. The event is designed to foster discussions and collaborations on various aspects of temple management, heritage conservation, and religious tourism. It features 15 workshops and 60 stalls, providing a platform for temple representatives and experts to exchange insights and strategies.
In addition to the notable figures present at the opening, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan are expected to attend the conference on subsequent days. Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh will also be participating on February 19.
A key moment during the inauguration came when TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu formally requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to allocate land for TTD in Mumbai. Naidu handed over a memorandum to Fadnavis, urging the allocation of land for the establishment of a temple dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi and an information center in Bandra, Mumbai.
The International Temples Conference stands as a significant event in promoting the cultural, religious, and spiritual heritage of India while encouraging collaboration between temple leaders, government officials, and cultural ambassadors from around the world.
