In New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), urged citizens on Sunday to support his party by casting their votes symbolized by the broom on May 25, emphasizing that his victory would preclude his return to jail.

During roadshows in Delhi alongside AAP leader Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal rallied support for party candidates Somnath Bharti and Mahabal Mishra in the New Delhi and West Delhi parliamentary constituencies, respectively.

Addressing supporters during a roadshow in Moti Nagar, Kejriwal expressed gratitude for the warm reception and remarked on the bond between him and the people, citing recent legal proceedings that resulted in his release on bail.

Asserting that his opponents aim to impede the progress achieved by his government, Kejriwal implored voters to endorse the AAP’s agenda, emphasizing the importance of continued initiatives such as free electricity and healthcare.

Kejriwal also highlighted the accessibility and responsiveness of AAP representatives, contrasting it with the perceived indifference of previous MPs, and urged constituents to elect candidates committed to their welfare.

As Kejriwal’s roadshows drew enthusiastic crowds, he vowed to utilize his temporary freedom to campaign tirelessly against what he perceives as authoritarianism and to promote democratic principles.

Responding to Kejriwal’s assertions, the BJP assured voters that his tenure would be short-lived, reaffirming their commitment to policy initiatives such as free utilities and promising further benefits if elected in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.
