Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu to Promote State at World Economic Forum in Davos

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to attend the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, this Sunday, where he aims to promote the state’s business potential and attract global investments. His participation is expected to focus on showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s dynamic industrial policies, infrastructure, and stable leadership, all of which contribute to creating a conducive environment for business growth.

One of the key components of CM Naidu’s agenda is to engage with leading industrialists, global business leaders, and influential policymakers to encourage investment in Andhra Pradesh. As part of this effort, the Chief Minister plans to emphasize the state’s new employment-centric industrial policies and offer insight into the government’s initiatives designed to foster economic development and job creation.

With companies like Google already committed to investing in Andhra Pradesh, CM Naidu will leverage his extensive experience and strong relationships within the global business community to further attract top-tier investments. His leadership has already yielded substantial investments over the past seven months, as noted in a statement issued by his office.

Itinerary and Key Meetings

The Chief Minister’s itinerary begins with his departure from Amaravati to Delhi on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., followed by a flight to Zurich at 1:30 a.m. on Monday. Upon arriving in Zurich, CM Naidu is scheduled to meet with India’s Ambassador to Switzerland before engaging with industrialists at a local hotel. Additionally, he will meet with Telugu industrialists during a “Meet and Greet” event to explore further investment opportunities.

Davos will serve as the backdrop for key strategic meetings, where CM Naidu will participate in discussions aimed at positioning Andhra Pradesh as a key destination for international businesses. His schedule includes a dinner meeting with industrial leaders and a special session with ArcelorMittal Executive Chairman Lakshmi Mittal, a high-profile encounter aimed at securing investments for the state.

Discussions on Green Hydrogen and Strategic Networking

In line with global economic trends, CM Naidu has planned to engage in discussions around green hydrogen, a key area of interest at the WEF. The Chief Minister is scheduled to meet with executives from top multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Welspun, LG, Carlsberg, Cisco, Walmart International, and Cognizant Technologies. These meetings are designed to further promote Andhra Pradesh’s competitive advantages, including its skilled human resources, government incentives, and robust infrastructure.

Throughout the four-day event, CM Naidu is set to hold at least 10 meetings and conferences each day, demonstrating his commitment to forging valuable partnerships for the state’s economic growth.

Team and Return

Accompanying CM Naidu on his visit are IT Minister Nara Lokesh, Industries Minister TG Bharat, and other key officials, all of whom will support efforts to highlight Andhra Pradesh’s investment potential. CM Naidu’s trip is expected to culminate on the fourth day, with his return to Zurich before heading back to India.

This high-profile engagement at the World Economic Forum underscores CM Naidu’s strategic efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a hub for global business, further strengthening the state’s economic ties and prospects for investment on the international stage.
