Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Discuss Key Issues
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his third official meeting with the Prime Minister since taking office. Accompanied by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and other senior state officials, Reddy addressed several important issues affecting the state.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy provided an update on the ongoing rescue operations at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel, where eight workers remain trapped. He briefed the Prime Minister on the efforts being made to safely rescue the workers and urged for any additional assistance that could be provided to expedite the operations.
Another key topic discussed during the meeting was the caste census for Backward Classes (BCs). Revanth Reddy elaborated on the importance of conducting a thorough and inclusive caste census to ensure equitable representation and development for all communities in Telangana. He also raised concerns about the classification of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and the need for further clarity on the matter.
In addition, the Chief Minister urged Prime Minister Modi to address pending commitments from the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, particularly those related to the allocation of central funds for Telangana. Reddy requested the release of outstanding funds and sought the Prime Minister’s support for various state projects aimed at the welfare and development of Telangana’s people.
This meeting highlights the continued efforts by the Telangana government to ensure the timely implementation of critical projects and to seek the necessary support from the central government for the state’s growth and development.
