Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Proposes Development of Mamnoor Airport in Warangal
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has put forward a proposal to develop the Mamnoor Airport in Warangal on the lines of the Cochin International Airport in Kerala. His vision aims to ensure the airport’s continuous operations and improve its infrastructure to cater to growing air traffic and connectivity needs. This development follows the recent approval from the central government for the airport’s expansion, marking a significant step towards enhancing regional air travel.
To review the progress of the project, the Chief Minister convened a meeting with senior officials. During the meeting, Revanth Reddy focused on key aspects of the development, particularly the status of land acquisition and the completion of pending works. He emphasized the need to accelerate the land acquisition process and instructed officials to provide monthly progress reports to keep the project on track.
The review meeting was attended by several prominent leaders, including Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha, and Seethakka, as well as Members of Parliament Kadiyam Kavya and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy. Members of the Legislative Assembly Srihari, Prakash Reddy, and Nagaraju, alongside Warangal Mayor Sudha Rani, also participated in the discussion. Notably, Advisors Vem Surender Reddy and Srinivasa Raju were present to offer their insights into the project’s execution.
The proposed development of Mamnoor Airport is expected to bolster regional connectivity, promoting economic growth and facilitating easier access to key cities across India and beyond. With continued government support and collaborative efforts from all stakeholders, the project is poised to transform Warangal into a significant transportation hub in the state.
