Hyderabad: The Coca-Cola Company, the world’s largest beverage manufacturer, has announced an investment of Rs 700 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Telangana’s Peddapalli district through its subsidiary, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB).
During discussions at Coca-Cola’s headquarters in Atlanta, United States, Head of Fiscal Policy Jonathan Rief and other executives disclosed that potential sites for the facility have been identified, as reported by The Hindu.
The visiting delegation included D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Industries and IT, and Komatireddy Venkatreddy, Minister of Roads & Buildings and Cinematography. Minister Sridhar confirmed in an official statement, “The Coca-Cola leadership has finalized Peddapalli district for the establishment of their new facility. This decision represents a significant expansion of multinational manufacturing capabilities into the state’s hinterland, moving beyond Hyderabad and fostering broader industrial growth aligned with government priorities.”
Earlier this year, HCCB CEO Juan Pablo Rodriguez and executives engaged with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu to discuss Telangana’s plans, including a Rs 400 crore greenfield project, with assurances of state government support.
