Comedian Ali Announces Departure from Politics
Popular comedian Ali has announced his decision to quit politics in a video message, stating that he will no longer be associated with any political party.
Previously affiliated with the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), Ali held the position of Advisor within the party. He had reportedly anticipated receiving an MLA or Rajya Sabha MP seat, but these expectations were not met. In his recent video, Ali clearly declared that he is now a common citizen who votes once every five years and will no longer be involved in politics.
Ali expressed his intention to focus on his film career and upcoming projects, bidding farewell to politics permanently. Before joining the YSRCP, he was associated with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
The actor emphasized his commitment to the film industry, acknowledging that it has been the cornerstone of his life. He also highlighted his ongoing charitable activities through his trust, which he has been running for the past 16 years. “I have continued to serve through my trust even during the COVID-19 pandemic, donating 20 percent of my income. I have never spoken ill of any individual or political leader,” Ali stated in his video message.
