“Court” Shines as a Major Success Among Small-Budget Films
The movie Court, a small-budget yet powerful film, has made a remarkable impact, earning a stellar ₹8.10 crore on its opening day. With strong audience reception and buzz continuing to grow, expectations are high for an even stronger second-day performance. A success event was held today to celebrate the film’s tremendous achievement.
Priyadarshi, one of the leads in the film, shared his initial uncertainty about his career path after his earlier success with Balagam. “I was questioning the purpose of my life,” he admitted. However, when director Jagadeesh approached him with the script for Court, he immediately connected with it. Priyadarshi emphasized that the film wouldn’t have been possible without Nani’s unwavering support. He also expressed hopes that his co-stars, Roshan and Sridevi, would retain their purity, a quality he first noticed in Nani, and praised the team’s ability to shoot and release the film in just six months.
Nani, reflecting on the film’s success, expressed immense pride and gratitude for both the script and the audience. “I believed in two things—one is the script, and the other is the audience. While the script led my team to victory, it was the audience that made Telugu cinema shine,” Nani said. He also acknowledged the role of Court in making him a winner, stating that the film’s success is a testament to the love and connection people have with the story.
Looking back at the early stages of Court, Nani recalled his initial confidence in Jagadeesh’s vision. “I saw the spark in Jagadeesh when he first pitched the story to me,” he shared. He also noted the critical role of his fellow actors, including Priyadarshi, whom he compared to the legendary Naseeruddin Shah for his understated yet powerful performances in Telugu cinema. Nani also spoke about his pride in Roshan and Sridevi, highlighting their contributions and the film’s portrayal of a relatable love story.
With Court earning praise for its grounded storytelling and impactful performances, it is proving that small-budget films can make a big impact. The film’s success is not just about its financial numbers, but also about the emotional connection it has fostered with its audience, making it a standout hit in Telugu cinema.
