Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s “Mr and Mrs Mahi” has opened to mixed reviews in Hindi. Despite Janhvi’s natural performance and Rajkummar’s compelling portrayal, the film falls short due to Sharan Sharma’s writing and direction.
Here’s an exclusive update on “Mr and Mrs Mahi”: Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, who produced and presented the film, initially planned a Telugu dubbed release. However, these plans were abandoned due to a stipulation from the makers of NTR’s “Devara.” They insisted that Janhvi’s Tollywood debut should be with “Devara,” not through a Hindi film dubbed into Telugu. As a result, the Telugu release plans for “Mr and Mrs Mahi” were dropped.
Consequently, “Mr and Mrs Mahi” has been released exclusively as a Hindi film with English subtitles.
