Income Tax Raids at Dil Raju’s Properties and Associates in Hyderabad
The Income Tax (IT) department has launched extensive raids at multiple locations linked to prominent film producer Dil Raju, including his residences in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. The raids, which began early this morning, also extend to the homes and offices of his brother Sirish and daughter Hanshitha Reddy.
As part of the ongoing investigation, IT officials escorted Dil Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, to a bank for further scrutiny. Authorities are reviewing the balance sheets and Income Tax Returns (ITRs) of the SVC company, which is associated with Dil Raju.
The investigation is also focused on Dil Raju’s real estate ventures. In addition to the raids at his properties, searches are being conducted at several other locations, including the offices of Mythri Movie Makers, the residences of producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, Mango Media, Satya Rangayya Finance, and producer Abhishek Agarwal. The IT department is also examining several other financial firms linked to the film industry.
A total of 65 teams are carrying out inspections at eight locations, with the focus reportedly on financial activities surrounding recent high-budget films released during the Sankranti festival. Investigators are looking into the financial transactions, including investments and revenues, associated with these films.
These raids come amid growing scrutiny of the financial aspects of the film industry, with a particular focus on large-scale productions and their financial dealings. IT officials are expected to provide more details as the investigation progresses.
