ED Conducts Extensive Raids on Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
Hyderabad – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched extensive searches at the residence and offices of Telangana’s Revenue Minister, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, amid an investigation into alleged financial irregularities. The operation involves 16 teams conducting simultaneous raids across multiple locations, including Hyderabad and Khammam.
Beginning early on Friday, September 27, the searches are reportedly being executed with the support of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. The scope of the investigation extends beyond Reddy’s residence to various properties associated with him, including those in Khammam and Nandagiri Hills in Hyderabad.
This is not the first time Reddy has faced scrutiny from the ED; similar raids were carried out at his residences in November 2023, just ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections. At that time, Reddy publicly denounced the raids, labeling them as politically motivated attempts to sabotage his candidacy for the Palair constituency.
As the investigation unfolds, further details are expected to emerge regarding the specific allegations against Reddy and the ongoing implications for his political career.
