New Delhi: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced on Friday that subscribed users now have the opportunity to upload and monetize their content, including movies, TV series, and podcasts, on the platform.
In response to his sister Tosca Musk, co-founder of the streaming service Passionflix, Musk stated that users can now share their full-length movies on the platform, X, and generate revenue through subscriptions.
“Post your movies, TV series, or podcasts on this platform and monetize by activating subscriptions,” Musk conveyed.
Tosca expressed her appreciation, stating, “Love that people are watching my movies here on X.”
A user suggested an alternative monetization method, proposing that X allow users to post films and charge a one-time fee, thereby enabling individuals to purchase movies without subscribing to the platform.
“X would need a seriously revamped video-playing mechanism though. Would love to see that happen,” commented another user.
Additionally, Musk informed his followers about the upcoming ‘AI Audiences’ feature, which will enable advertisers to describe their target audience briefly, following which AI systems will swiftly generate a pool of the most relevant X users to target with ads.
