Engineering College Tuition Fees in Telangana Set for Revision
Hyderabad: The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) has announced a forthcoming revision of tuition fees for engineering colleges and various other institutions across Hyderabad and Telangana. This review will establish the new fee structure for the academic years 2025-26 through 2027-28.
In preparation for this update, TAFRC has requested that the management of engineering colleges, as well as institutions offering programs in fields such as BArch, MArch, B Planning, M Planning, B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, Pharm-D, Pharm-D (PB), MBA, MCA, LLB, LLM, BEd, MEd, DPEd, and UG DPEd, submit their data from the 2021-22 academic year along with audited financial statements for 2023-2024. The deadline for this data submission is October 30, with the submission required to be made online. Institutions that do not comply will be prohibited from collecting fees.
The previous fee revision, conducted in 2022, increased the minimum fee from Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 per annum. The highest fee was set at Rs 1.6 lakh per annum for MGIT, while CVR College of Engineering had a fee of Rs 1.5 lakh per annum. Over 35 engineering colleges had fees set at Rs 1 lakh or more per annum.
The upcoming revision will determine how the tuition fees will be adjusted for the next three academic years, and stakeholders are keenly awaiting the details of the new fee structure.
