Former Minister Alla Nani Joins Telugu Desam Party, Marking a Setback for YSR Congress
In a significant political development, former minister Alla Nani has joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), dealing a setback to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Alla Nani made the official switch in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, signaling a shift in political allegiance.
Nani traveled to Undavalli, where he met Naidu before being formally inducted into the TDP. During the induction ceremony, Naidu welcomed Nani by draping a TDP party scarf over him, signifying the party’s acceptance of the former minister into its fold.
The event was attended by several key leaders, including TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, Eluru district president Ganni Veeranjaneyulu, Minister Parthasarathi, Eluru MLA Badeti Chanti, and Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao. This political shift is expected to have repercussions on both the YSRCP and TDP’s strategies as the state gears up for future elections.
