New Delhi: The Lok Sabha is set to continue its discussions on the Union Budget and the Budget for Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, according to the lower house’s agenda.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to introduce a bill aimed at authorizing the payment and appropriation of specific sums from the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2024-25.
Additionally, Home Minister Amit Shah will present a motion for the election to the Committee on Official Language. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will also move motions for the election of two members each to several boards, including the Coffee Board, Spices Board, Rubber Board, Tea Board, and Marine Products Export Development Authority.
Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh is expected to propose a motion for the election of four members to the Central Silk Board. Furthermore, Minister of State for Commerce Jitin Prasada will provide statements regarding the implementation status of recommendations from various reports by the Standing Committee on Commerce.
