Gali Janardhan Reddy, the key accused in the high-profile Obulapuram illegal mining case, has been transferred from Chanchalguda Central Prison in Hyderabad to Bengaluru. The transfer was carried out by the Bengaluru police under a Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant.
Reddy, a former minister and mining baron, is facing multiple legal cases in Bengaluru related to corruption and illegal mining activities. His relocation is part of the legal procedures pertaining to those ongoing investigations.
Currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail, Reddy’s transfer underscores the multi-jurisdictional nature of the cases against him. Authorities in both Telangana and Karnataka continue to coordinate closely as the legal proceedings progress.
