Goli Soda Makes a Global Comeback as Goli Pop Soda, Expands Internationally
India’s traditional beverage, Goli Soda, is experiencing a resurgence in international markets, including the US, UK, Europe, and the Gulf. The drink, rebranded as Goli Pop Soda, is gaining strong consumer response due to strategic expansion and innovative reinvention, according to a statement released by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
In collaboration with Fair Exports, India has facilitated consistent deliveries of Goli Pop Soda to Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail chains in the Gulf region. This move is part of a broader strategy to revive and reintroduce the iconic beverage, which was once a household staple in India but nearly faded away due to the dominance of multinational beverage companies.
APEDA highlighted that the product has already successfully entered international markets, with trial shipments reaching countries like the USA, UK, Europe, and Gulf nations. This marks a significant step in India’s push to promote and export authentic, homegrown food and beverage products globally.
What sets Goli Pop Soda apart from other drinks is its innovative packaging. Featuring a unique pop opener that creates the fizzy burst familiar to Indian consumers, the rebranding has captured the attention of international markets, positioning it as both trendy and nostalgic. This creative approach has successfully turned the traditional beverage into an exciting product that appeals to a new generation of global consumers.
The surge in demand for Goli Pop Soda underscores the growing appeal of homegrown Indian flavors, proving that they can compete with established international brands. The success of the product in key global markets opens new doors for domestic exports, further enhancing India’s position in the global food and beverage sector.
