The Pixel 9 series boasts cutting-edge technology, powered by the new Google Tensor G4 chip and Gemini AI, which promises to deliver enhanced performance and user experience. The Pixel 9 Pro models come in two sizes, 6.3 inches and 6.8 inches, each featuring the brightest Super Actua displays and a new 42 MP front camera for improved low-light photography. The Pixel 9 offers a 6.3-inch Actua display, which is 35 percent brighter than its predecessor and includes autofocus for the front camera to capture sharper selfies. Additionally, the Pixel 9 promises approximately 20 percent longer battery life compared to the Pixel 8.
In a move to increase accessibility, Google has expanded its after-sales services with the launch of three Google-owned walk-in centres in partnership with Flipkart’s service arm. The company has also broadened its retail presence, making Pixel products available in over 150 outlets across 15 cities.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will commence on Wednesday, with availability starting from August 22. The Pixel 9 is priced at Rs 79,999, the Pixel 9 Pro at Rs 1,09,999, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL at Rs 1,24,999. In addition, Google has announced a price reduction for its earlier Pixel models in India.
The Pixel 9 series features seven years of OS updates, Pixel Drops, and security updates, enhancing the long-term value of the devices. Notably, the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will support Gemini Live, which enables natural conversations and interactive support through the phone or Pixel Buds.
With these advancements and strategic expansions, Google aims to solidify its presence in the Indian market, offering both cutting-edge technology and comprehensive customer support.
