Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan was accorded a grand reception upon his arrival in Chennai on Sunday night. Fresh from attending a high-level meeting of Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states in New Delhi, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pawan Kalyan arrived in the Tamil Nadu capital to participate as the chief guest in a seminar on ‘One Nation, One Election’, scheduled for Monday.
The popular actor-turned-politician was welcomed with great enthusiasm at Chennai International Airport. Former Telangana Governor and senior BJP leader Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, along with noted political figures and activists including KS Radhakrishnan, BJP leaders M. Chakravarthy, Arjuna Murthy, Amar Prasad Reddy, and others, were present to receive him.
The airport premises witnessed jubilant scenes as hundreds of Jana Sainiks and fans gathered, waving Jana Sena flags and chanting slogans in support of their leader. The outpouring of admiration reflected the growing influence of Pawan Kalyan across state borders.
Later, Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai (or Nagendran, if that’s correct based on latest party position) and other BJP leaders formally welcomed Pawan Kalyan at his hotel, further underscoring the camaraderie between the BJP and the Jana Sena Party within the NDA alliance.
Pawan Kalyan’s visit to Tamil Nadu marks another chapter in his evolving national presence and political engagement on key reforms like simultaneous elections, a core agenda item for the NDA.
