Prime Minister Narendra Modi Set to Receive Two More Prestigious International Honors
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to receive two additional prestigious international honors, further elevating his total number of global accolades to 19. Guyana will bestow upon him ‘The Order of Excellence,’ while Barbados will award him the ‘Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados.’
The announcement follows a successful visit to Nigeria, where PM Modi was conferred the esteemed ‘Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger’ (GCON), the country’s highest distinction. During his visit, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu praised Modi for his leadership and the strengthening of India-Nigeria relations, highlighting the Prime Minister’s success in securing three consecutive elections in India.
Earlier this week, Dominica also announced the ‘Dominica Award of Honour’ for PM Modi in recognition of his support during the COVID-19 pandemic and his dedication to enhancing India-Dominica relations. This award will be presented at the upcoming India-CARICOM Summit in Guyana, which Modi will attend.
These latest honors join a remarkable list of awards and recognitions that PM Modi has received from countries around the world. His previous accolades include prestigious civilian awards from Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Russia, the UAE, the US, and France, among others. In addition to these, Modi has also earned several global awards for his contributions to peace, environmental leadership, and sustainable development.
PM Modi’s growing list of international honors reflects not only his leadership on the global stage but also the increasing diplomatic influence of India in international relations.
