According to historical records, Hari Hara Veera Mallu emerged as a notable figure during the era of Aurangzeb, reputedly amassing significant wealth through acts of brigandage, purportedly targeting affluent individuals and monarchs, and subsequently redistributing the spoils among the impoverished populace. The forthcoming film, bearing the same title and featuring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, endeavors to portray this historical narrative.
In an unforeseen development, the teaser for Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” has been unveiled today. The teaser offers a glimpse into the socio-political milieu of Telugu regions, particularly Hyderabad, beset by the governance of local potentates, nawabs, and the Delhi Sultanate. Noteworthy in the teaser is Bobby Deol’s portrayal of Aurangzeb, juxtaposed with the depiction of the titular outlaw who stands in defiance against such authority. Pawan Kalyan’s portrayal exudes charisma as the legendary Veeramallu, complemented by the evocative musical score by Keeravani.
Backed by producer AM Rathnam, the inaugural installment of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” subtitled “Part 1: Sword vs Spirit,” is slated for release in 2024. Initially helmed by the visionary director Krish, the project is now under the stewardship of Jothi Krishna, son of AM Ratnam, poised to continue the legacy with equal aplomb.
