Harish Rao Criticizes Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Accuses Congress Government of Failing Welfare and Development Initiatives
Senior TRS leader and former minister Harish Rao made pointed remarks targeting Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a cricket tournament in Eilapur village, Ameenpur Mandal. In a lighthearted moment, Harish Rao humorously stated that Revanth Reddy’s efforts had led to a “hit wicket” after the arrest of actor Allu Arjun. He went on to claim that Revanth Reddy had failed to secure a meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, further underscoring his alleged ineffectiveness as Chief Minister.
Harish Rao did not hold back in his criticism, declaring, “Your role as Chief Minister is over.” He accused the current Congress government of halting crucial welfare programs initiated by the TRS, such as Rythu Bandhu (a farmer’s support scheme) and the sheep distribution program. According to Rao, despite being in power for a year, the Congress-led government had failed to complete a single development project and had instead engaged in destructive activities under the banner of “Hydra,” a term he used to describe their governance.
Rao also pointed out that the Congress government had neglected pressing issues affecting various sections of society, including Gurukula school students and auto drivers. He accused the Congress of misleading auto drivers with false promises and assured them that the TRS would continue to raise their concerns in the Assembly, offering full support to the auto drivers’ cause.
The remarks come amid growing political tensions in Telangana, with Harish Rao positioning himself as a staunch critic of the Congress-led state government and continuing to champion the legacy of the TRS in fostering welfare and development initiatives for the people of Telangana.
