A Day of Mourning: CM Chandrababu Naidu Grieves the Heartbreaking Loss of Seven Children in Andhra Pradesh
In a deeply tragic turn of events, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed profound sorrow over the untimely death of seven young children in two separate incidents reported from Chittoor and Vizianagaram districts.
The Chief Minister, visibly moved by the back-to-back tragedies, said the loss of such young and innocent lives had left him deeply shaken. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and assured them of the government’s full support during this painful time.
The first incident occurred in Devarajapuram village of Kuppam Mandal in Chittoor district, where three children from the same family tragically drowned after accidentally falling into a water-filled pit while playing. The victims—Gowthami, Shalini, and Ashwin—were all under the age of ten. CM Naidu acknowledged the unimaginable grief of the parents and promised all necessary assistance from the state administration.
In a second heartbreaking accident on the same day, four children lost their lives in Dwarapudi village of Vizianagaram district. The children—Uday, Jashritha, Charulatha, and Manishwari—were playing near a parked vehicle when they climbed inside and became accidentally locked in. With no means to escape, the children suffocated inside the closed car, a tragedy that has left the local community in shock.
Calling the death of seven children in a single day “an unimaginable sorrow,” the Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the affected families and emphasized the importance of preventive safety awareness. He directed local authorities to extend all support and urged communities to be vigilant in ensuring child safety.
As the state reels from the shock, these twin tragedies serve as grim reminders of the fragile nature of life and the need for community vigilance to protect its youngest members.
