In a bold move to captivate India’s premium motorcycle segment, Honda has launched the CB1000 Hornet SP, a high-performance streetfighter engineered for thrill-seekers and style-conscious riders alike. Designed to appeal especially to the youth, this muscular machine brings together aggressive aesthetics, top-tier engineering, and rider-focused technology.

At the heart of the CB1000 Hornet SP is a potent 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that delivers a commanding 155 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 107 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, paired with a slick 6-speed gearbox. This configuration ensures exhilarating acceleration and refined highway cruising, promising an adrenaline-charged riding experience.

Striking Design Meets Functional Engineering

Visually, the CB1000 Hornet SP makes a bold statement. A sharp LED projector headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, and upswept tail section combine to give it an aggressive street presence. The bike is built around a strong steel frame that ensures both rigidity and stability.

The premium design is backed by top-shelf hardware: Showa SFF-BP forks at the front and an Öhlins TTX36 monoshock at the rear handle suspension duties, offering a plush and controlled ride even on challenging roads. Dual front disc brakes and a rear disc, paired with alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres, ensure solid stopping power and confident handling.

Feature-Rich for a Smarter Ride

Riders will also enjoy a host of advanced features. The CB1000 Hornet SP comes with three preset riding modes—Rain, Standard, and Sport—plus two customizable ‘User’ modes, allowing adjustments to throttle response, traction control, and more. The cockpit is dominated by a sleek 5-inch color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, keeping riders informed and connected on the go.

Premium Performance, Competitive Pricing

Priced at ₹12.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the CB1000 Hornet SP positions itself against strong rivals like the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple R, and Street Triple RS. While only the premium SP variant has been launched for now, Honda may introduce a standard model down the line to broaden its market appeal.

With its razor-sharp design, explosive performance, and tech-savvy features, the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is not just a motorcycle—it’s a statement of intent in India’s growing superbike arena.
