Bhiwandi: On Friday, May 17, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asserted that if the BJP were to win the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, it would imprison NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.
During a campaign rally in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of having him arrested due to his efforts to provide quality education for the poor and improve the healthcare system in the national capital.
“I am not asking for votes for myself but appealing to you to save the country,” stated the Aam Aadmi Party leader.
Kejriwal further claimed, “The BJP will not win, but if it does on June 4, it will incarcerate Supriya Sule, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, and Aaditya Thackeray.”
The Delhi Chief Minister, who is diabetic, also alleged that the BJP-led Union government attempted to withhold his medication for 15 days during his imprisonment.
Kejriwal was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an alleged excise policy scam.
The rally was held in support of NCP (SP) candidate Suresh Mhatre, who is contesting against Union Minister Kapil Patil in the constituency.
