Kriti Sanon Wins Best Actress at IIFA for Her Performance in Do Patti
Kriti Sanon bagged the Best Actress award at the prestigious International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards for her stellar performance in the OTT film Do Patti. The awards ceremony, which kicked off on Saturday in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has attracted Bollywood stars and political dignitaries. While the event spans two days, the opening day witnessed the announcement of the digital awards, highlighting achievements in the rapidly growing OTT space.
Sanon’s win for Do Patti came alongside significant recognition for other talents in the digital entertainment industry. Vikrant Massey received the Best Actor award for his remarkable performance in Sector 36, while Amar Singh Chamkila took home the Best Film on an OTT platform award.
In the director’s category, Imtiaz Ali was honored with Best Director for Amar Singh Chamkila. Other notable winners included Deepak, who claimed Best Supporting Actor for Sector 36, and Anupriya Goenka, who was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her role in Berlin. Kanika Dhillon received the Best Story award for Do Patti.
In the web series category, Panchayat Season 3 triumphed as Best Web Series of the Year. Jitendra Kumar and Faisal Malik were recognized with Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards, respectively, while Panchayat Season 3’s director, Deepak Kumar Mishra, was honored with Best Director.
Additional accolades went to Shreya Chaudhary, who won Best Actress for Bandish Bandits Season 2, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, named Best Supporting Actress for Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Kota Factory Season 3 earned the Best Story award in the web series category.
In the reality and documentary segments, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives was awarded Best Reality Series, and Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous was named Best Documentary Film.
The IIFA Awards continue to celebrate the growing influence of digital platforms in the entertainment industry, shining a spotlight on exceptional talent across various categories. The winners will be formally presented with their awards on Sunday evening.
