Hyderabad: The Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, emphasized on Sunday that the Sangh Parivar has consistently supported the concept of reservations for marginalized groups within society.
During his address at an educational institution, Bhagwat reiterated the stance of the Sangh, affirming that reservations should persist for as long as they are necessary to address social inequalities.
Bhagwat’s reaffirmation follows a recent exchange of statements between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress regarding the issue of reservations.
Last year, in Nagpur, Bhagwat had articulated that reservations must endure until societal discrimination is eradicated. He underscored the persistence of societal discrimination, even when it may not be overtly visible.
