Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a resolute address to the nation following the high-impact counter-terror operation dubbed Operation Sindoor, praising the valor of the Indian armed forces and delivering a stern message to Pakistan.
In his first official statement after the operation, Modi lauded the Indian military’s precision and restraint, emphasizing that India had struck terrorist infrastructure in a way that was both “unimaginable and unforgettable.” The Prime Minister saluted the armed forces and intelligence agencies for their extraordinary courage and technological prowess.
“India Has Shown Unmatched Bravery”
“For the last four days, the nation has witnessed not just the might of our armed forces, but also the calm discipline with which they operated,” Modi said. “The heroism displayed—especially in the face of barbaric acts like the murder of a man in Pahalgam in front of his family—has ignited the resolve of every Indian.”
A Nation United Against Terrorism
Modi praised the unity displayed by citizens across political and social divides, who stood shoulder to shoulder in condemning terrorism. Referring to the operation as a symbolic act of justice, he said, “This is Operation Sindoor—a tribute to the dignity and sacrifice of our people. Indian missiles and drones precisely targeted terror hubs in Bahawalpur and Muridke, sending a clear message to enemies of peace.”
Pakistan Left Reeling
According to the Prime Minister, the Indian strikes caused widespread disruption in Pakistan’s defense apparatus. “We neutralized key terror outfits that had been operating from Pakistani soil for decades. Indian air and missile strikes left Pakistan’s radar systems and air bases in disarray. Even their so-called elite missile systems were rendered ineffective.”
He revealed that, rattled by the swift offensive, Pakistan had appealed for a ceasefire through military channels. “Their DGMO came running, seeking talks. That tells you who was caught off guard,” Modi noted sharply.
