Arvind Datta, the founder and CEO of Marigold Wealth, recently highlighted the United Arab Emirates (UAE), especially Dubai, as the “best place to settle down” globally.
Sharing his views on social media platform X, Datta outlined several appealing factors that make Dubai an attractive place to live.
“Best place to settle down – UAE and in particular Dubai,” Datta wrote.
He explained, “Purchasing an AED 2 million (approximately Rs 4.5 crore) property qualifies one for a golden visa. Additionally, anyone over 55 years old can obtain a retirement visa by investing AED 1 million in a property.”
Datta also noted Dubai’s safety, especially for women, its low crime rate, and world-class infrastructure as key benefits.
His post received a wide range of reactions, with some users praising Dubai while others criticized its extreme heat.
One user commented, “What about the hot weather and lack of greenery?”
Another user suggested, “Stay in the Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) area. It’s an amazing place with greenery and pleasant weather with a lake view.”
“Everything is perfect except the torrid heat,” another user added.
An Indian citizen shared their perspective, stating, “Visit India in July and August when the heat is at its peak there. Schools also give holidays. I spent 16 years in nearby Qatar. The Middle East is very livable, even more so than Delhi and Mumbai. In terms of heat, Delhi NCR is just as bad, if not worse, because most places aren’t air-conditioned. You won’t miss home much due to the large Indian diaspora.”
