A high-profile Indian all-party Parliamentary delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, has departed Saudi Arabia en route to Algeria, reinforcing India’s unwavering stance of zero tolerance toward terrorism. This diplomatic mission is part of India’s expansive Operation Sindoor campaign, aimed at building international consensus against terrorism, particularly cross-border terror emanating from Pakistan.
Following a series of impactful engagements in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, the delegation is set to hold intensive discussions in Algeria until June 2. Their agenda focuses on rallying global support for counter-terrorism efforts, underscoring the critical need for international cooperation in combating terror in all its forms.
The delegation’s visit to Saudi Arabia earlier was hailed as “highly productive,” reaffirming the robust India-Saudi Arabia strategic partnership spanning defense, security, trade, and counter-terrorism. Baijayant Jay Panda expressed gratitude toward Abdulrahman Alharbi, Chair of the Saudi-India Friendship Committee, for his warm send-off and ongoing support.
Alongside Panda, the delegation includes influential leaders from across the political spectrum: BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu; AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi; and former diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
Satnam Singh Sandhu echoed the mission’s core message, emphasizing India’s “zero-tolerance and New Normal approach” to terrorism and praising the deepening bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia.
This diplomatic outreach comes in the wake of the brutal April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and India’s decisive Operation Sindoor, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to global peace and security through proactive international collaboration against terrorism.
