Trump Urges Tehran Evacuation as Israel-Iran Conflict Enters Day 5
As the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran stretches into its fifth day, former US President Donald Trump on Tuesday called for the immediate evacuation of Tehran, citing the potential for intensified military action and renewed concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump posted on Truth Social, reiterating his long-standing position: “Iran should have signed the deal I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I said it over and over again!”
Amid the growing tensions, Trump announced plans to cut short his participation in the G7 Summit in Canada, saying he would return to the United States to closely monitor developments in the Middle East.
“I have to be back early for obvious reasons,” he told reporters during the summit, held in the Canadian Rockies. The White House later confirmed that his early departure was prompted by the unfolding situation in the Middle East. Trump also used the occasion to reinforce his signature foreign policy stance:
“America First means many great things, including the fact that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Make America Great Again!”
Israel Issues Evacuation Warning for Tehran’s District C
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has issued a rare public evacuation notice to residents of District C in northeastern Tehran. The announcement, made via social media by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, urged civilians to evacuate immediately ahead of imminent airstrikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure.
“Your presence in this area endangers your life. For your safety and security, we urge you to evacuate immediately,” Adraee wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
District C reportedly houses several critical facilities, including government offices, intelligence agencies, and semi-governmental institutions, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) further confirmed that warplanes conducted multiple strikes earlier on Tuesday, targeting convoys transporting weapons and surface-to-air missile systems advancing from western Iran toward Tehran.
