Income Tax Raids on Tollywood Producer Dil Raju Conclude After Three Days of Inspection
The three-day Income Tax (IT) raids at the residence of renowned Tollywood producer Dil Raju have concluded after an extensive operation that began on Tuesday and lasted until midnight Thursday. A team of 21 officials participated in the search and investigation at Dil Raju’s home, raising significant buzz in the industry.
Dil Raju, a key player in the Tollywood film industry, is known for producing several successful big-budget films. Recently, he released major Sankranti projects like Game Changer starring Ram Charan and Sankranti ki Vastunnaam featuring Venkatesh, both of which performed well at the box office. Additionally, Dil Raju’s acquisition of the Nizam distribution rights for Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaju has contributed to his growing influence in the industry.
The primary focus of the IT raids was to ensure that proper taxes had been paid on the substantial earnings generated by these high-grossing films. The operation extended beyond Dil Raju’s residence, with IT officials also conducting searches at the offices and homes of other prominent figures in the film industry, including Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers. Other locations raided included residences of producer Sirish, director Sukumar, and Dil Raju’s daughter Hanshitha Reddy.
During the raids, IT officials reviewed a number of financial documents and transactions, sparking widespread discussions on social media platforms. While the raids have drawn significant attention, further details regarding the outcome of the investigation have not been disclosed as of now.
