Controversy Erupts as Brahmaji Addresses Flood Relief Criticisms Amidst AP Floods
The ongoing floods in the Telugu states have led to challenging conditions across various regions. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has been actively engaged in relief efforts, closely monitoring the situation from Vijayawada. However, former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized Naidu on social media, questioning the effectiveness of his preventive measures.
In the midst of this crisis, character artist Brahmaji became embroiled in controversy. Brahmaji responded to YS Jagan’s tweet by endorsing his call for increased funding and local oversight of relief activities. His comment read: “You are correct, sir. They cannot do it. Please release 1000 Cr rupees funds and ask all YCP cadre to oversee the relief activities at the ground level. The public is important to us and not the government. Jai Jagan anna.”
The tweet quickly went viral, sparking a wave of criticism from supporters of YS Jagan and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) admirers. Critics accused Brahmaji of being out of touch with the local situation in Andhra Pradesh and of unfairly targeting Jagan.
Faced with intense backlash, Brahmaji deleted the tweet and later claimed that his X (formerly Twitter) account had been hacked. He issued a statement saying, “Someone hacked my X account. I don’t have any connection with that tweet. I filed a complaint.”
The situation continues to unfold as the public and political figures navigate the impact of the floods and associated controversies.
