Jagan Addresses Concerns Over YS Avinash Reddy’s Allegations in Recent Interview
Questions arose regarding Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s apparent support for YS Avinash Reddy amidst allegations related to the YS Viveka murder case, overshadowing the prominence of his sister, Sharmila. In a recent interview, Jagan clarified his stance on this matter.
Contrary to the CBI’s scrutiny of Avinash, Jagan asserted Avinash’s innocence, stating, “If we heed Avinash’s statements, it becomes evident he is not culpable.” Jagan emphasized his reluctance to implicate an innocent individual for the sake of familial ties, expressing his unwillingness to sacrifice Avinash’s integrity for Sharmila’s wishes. However, Jagan’s assertion of Avinash’s innocence amid CBI scrutiny has raised skepticism among observers.
Addressing concerns about familial political entry, Jagan underscored his reservations about Sharmila’s involvement in politics, citing the potential for intra-family power dynamics.
On the contentious issue of land titling, Jagan sought to provide reassurance, highlighting the transparent process facilitated at sub-registrar offices. Dismissing allegations regarding documentation, he affirmed that original documents are indeed provided to buyers, with approximately 9 lakh transactions completed, each benefiting from insurance coverage.
Regarding speculation about his foray into Telangana politics, Jagan expressed contentment with his role in Andhra Pradesh politics, affirming his commitment to the state’s development. Furthermore, he articulated an ambitious vision for Srikakulam, foreseeing its transformation into a commercial hub akin to Mumbai within the next five years.
