Member of Parliament Kalisetty Appalanaidu stated on Sunday that the people of Andhra Pradesh delivered a historic mandate on June 4 last year in response to the challenges and misgovernance under former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration. To commemorate this pivotal shift, he announced that the state will observe ‘Jagan Rule Liberation Day’ on June 4.
Speaking at the Visakhapatnam city party office, Appalanaidu said the initiative aims to mark the people’s rejection of what he described as “a regime marked by unchecked exploitation and misrule.”
He criticized the YSRCP leaders for planning to observe ‘Vennupotu Day’ (Betrayal Day) on the same date as a protest against the current coalition government. “The very leaders who drained the state’s resources now claim to stand for justice. The people have seen through this hypocrisy,” Appalanaidu remarked.
He emphasized that June 4 should serve as a reminder of the people’s resilience and their collective decision to steer the state in a new direction under responsible leadership.
