In a remarkable development in this year’s Andhra Pradesh election, Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party has set a record that may remain unchallenged by any major party in the future.
When Telugu Desam and Janasena initially announced their seat distribution, Pawan Kalyan ambitiously aimed for a 98% success rate in the MLA and MP constituencies his party contested. This claim was met with skepticism and ridicule from YSR Congress leaders, who pointed out Pawan’s previous losses in two constituencies.
However, Janasena surpassed even Pawan’s expectations by achieving a 100% success rate.
No other significant political party in an alliance has managed to secure all of the seats allocated to them. Janasena Party (JSP) accomplished this feat by winning all 21 of the MLA seats and both MP seats it contested.
Although the number of seats contested by JSP was limited, their victories were decisive. Seventeen out of the 21 JSP candidates won with a majority of over 35,000 votes, highlighting the magnitude of their success.
This 100% victory rate set by Janasena is poised to be a historic milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape and exemplifies the realization of political aspirations.
