Jayasudha Appointed Jury Chairperson for Gaddar Telangana Film Awards
Veteran actress and former MLA Jayasudha has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Jury Committee for the prestigious Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. A 15-member jury has been constituted to oversee the selection process for the awards, which have garnered a strong response from across the Telugu film industry.
Jayasudha recently met with Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman and renowned producer Dil Raju, along with FDC Managing Director Harish, to discuss the award process. During the meeting, Dil Raju stressed the importance of ensuring an impartial and transparent review of nominations. He noted that the overwhelming interest and participation in the awards have exceeded even those witnessed during the era of united Andhra Pradesh.
“The quality and volume of nominations reflect the enthusiasm within the industry, and we must ensure a fair and smooth process,” said Dil Raju.
The jury will commence the review process on April 21. According to officials, a total of 1,248 nominations have been received across various categories. This includes 1,172 entries in individual performance categories and 76 nominations covering feature films, children’s cinema, documentaries, film criticism, literature on cinema, and other creative segments.
The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards aim to recognize and celebrate artistic excellence in the Telugu film industry, with a special focus on films and creators from the state of Telangana.
