Hyderabad Teen, Her Boyfriend Arrested for Brutal Murder of Mother in Jeedimetla
In a chilling case that has shocked Hyderabad, a tenth-grade student allegedly murdered her mother with the help of her boyfriend and his brother after being scolded for being in a relationship.
The incident took place in NLB Nagar, Jeedimetla, where 39-year-old Satla Anjali was killed by her daughter Tejasri and her boyfriend Pagilla Shiva (19). According to police, Tejasri had been in a relationship with Shiva for some time, which her mother disapproved of. Anjali had reprimanded her daughter for prioritising love over academics, leading to tensions at home.
A week prior to the murder, Tejasri ran away from home with Shiva. Concerned, Anjali’s family filed a missing person complaint, prompting police to register a kidnapping case. Tejasri returned home three days later — but rather than reconciliation, what followed was a deadly conspiracy.
On Monday evening, while Anjali was engaged in prayer at home, Shiva and his younger brother Pagilla Yashwanth (also 19) arrived at the residence. Acting on a plan hatched with Tejasri, the trio launched a brutal assault.
Shiva reportedly attacked Anjali from behind and smothered her with a bedsheet, while Tejasri struck her mother on the head with a hammer. Yashwanth then used a knife to inflict fatal injuries, leading to Anjali’s immediate death.
Local residents, hearing commotion and suspecting foul play, alerted the police. Authorities arrived at the scene and shifted the body for post-mortem. A murder case has been registered, and all three accused have been taken into custody as investigations continue. Notably, the deceased Anjali is said to be the great-granddaughter of Telangana’s freedom fighter and revolutionary figure, Chakali Ailamma, adding a poignant layer to the tragedy.
