K.T. Rama Rao Criticizes Congress for Flood Mismanagement and Rising Dengue Cases
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has launched a scathing critique of the Congress government’s handling of the flood crisis in Telangana. In a strong statement issued on X, KTR accused the Congress administration of negligence and indifference towards the suffering of the people affected by the recent severe floods.
KTR commended the efforts of the BRS cadre, highlighting their proactive role in providing relief to flood victims despite the alleged inaction of the Congress government. He emphasized the party’s commitment to supporting the people of Telangana, stating, “While the Congress government remains nowhere to be seen, you’ve risen to the challenge, serving those in need. Your tireless efforts are the backbone of our party, proving once again that we are the force that keeps Telangana strong.”
Addressing the party workers, KTR urged them to continue their support for the flood-affected communities while prioritizing their own safety amidst the crisis. He also criticized the Congress government’s rescue and relief operations, particularly questioning the absence of three senior ministers from Khammam. “Where are the three mighty ministers from Khammam? Could they not have sent a rescue helicopter? We had done that more than half a dozen times in our government,” he remarked.
In addition to the flood crisis, KTR highlighted the government’s failure to address the rising dengue outbreak in the state. With over 6,000 dengue cases reported since January, including more than 800 new cases in just the past five days, KTR condemned the Congress government for its inadequate response. “Their failure to combat the spread is costing lives, but instead of taking responsibility, the Congress government chooses to ignore the deaths caused by this crisis. The people of Telangana deserve accountability, not apathy,” he stated.
KTR’s remarks underscore the ongoing political tensions and underscore the BRS’s stance on the need for more effective governance and relief efforts in times of crisis.
