KA Paul Launches Scathing Attack on Political Rivals, Declares Ambitions for Power

Praja Shanti Party President KA Paul stirred fresh political controversy during a fiery press conference held at the Anantapur Press Club on Wednesday. In a session marked by sensational allegations and bold declarations, Paul targeted a range of prominent political figures while outlining his own ambitions to become Chief Minister or Prime Minister.

Allegations Against Jagan Mohan Reddy

One of the most striking claims came against YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Paul alleged that Jagan is “not a true Christian” but rather a devotee of Lord Venkateswara and a disciple of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. He accused Jagan of attempting to create rifts between Hindus and Christians, citing the controversy around the Tirumala laddu as an example. Paul further claimed that Jagan’s association with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy contributed to his recent electoral defeat.

Criticism of Rayalaseema Leadership

Paul also launched a broadside against political leaders from the Rayalaseema region, asserting that despite several having served as Chief Ministers, none had taken meaningful steps for regional development. He questioned the contributions of both current CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to Rayalaseema’s progress.

Defense of Rural Development Trust (RDT)

Touching on the recent suspension of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) license of the Rural Development Trust, Paul denounced the move as politically motivated. He claimed the organization had done more for people than even Sathya Sai Baba and demanded that the central government immediately reinstate RDT’s license. Paul alleged a conspiracy by alliance leaders to block the organization’s operations and warned of drastic action if justice was not served. “I will bring down the world if needed,” he declared.

Barbs at Pawan Kalyan and Modi Alliance

Taking aim at Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, Paul mocked him for abandoning pre-election concerns, including the issue of 30,000 missing girls. He also accused Pawan of flip-flopping in his views of Prime Minister Narendra Modi—once a critic, now a supporter.

Similarly, Paul accused Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh of hypocrisy, saying they once criticized Modi but now laud him as a “Vishwaguru.” Paul described Lokesh’s past remark comparing Modi to “a hundred missiles” as hollow, saying those “missiles only create religious discord.”

Calls Out Telangana Leaders and Declares Political Ambitions

Paul did not spare Telangana leadership either, accusing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, K. Chandrashekar Rao, and K. T. Rama Rao of becoming “sycophants” of the Prime Minister. He claimed that unlike these leaders, he alone has the courage to confront Modi directly.

Boldly declaring his political intentions, Paul appealed to voters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to give his party 100 Assembly seats in each state or all 42 MP seats. “If that happens, I will become the Chief Minister—or even the Prime Minister—and develop this nation,” he said.

Comments on National Economy and Development

Drawing comparisons with China, Paul lamented India’s lag in economic development. He noted that when he first moved to the United States in 1989, India and China had similar GDPs. “Today, China lends money to a hundred countries, while India borrows from a hundred,” he said, using the statement to underscore the need for transformative governance.

Final Appeal to the Public

Concluding the press meet with a populist call to action, Paul declared, “If debts are to be cleared, if Hyderabads are to be built in the Telugu states, and if jobs are to be created for the youth, then Paul Anna must come. Governance must change.”
