Prabhas’ “Kalki” and Suriya’s Upcoming Film Garner Attention in the Mythology Genre
As Prabhas’ new film “Kalki” trends on social media and enjoys a successful box office run, another film is capturing attention in the news. Directed by Nag Ashwin, “Kalki” has effectively incorporated mythological elements, leading to its widespread popularity.
Simultaneously, actor Suriya’s upcoming film is making headlines. Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra is planning a mythology-based project titled “Karna,” with Suriya in the lead role. Following the success of “Kalki,” this new project has also gained significant attention on social media.
“Karna” is being developed as a pan-India film with a budget of approximately 350 crore rupees. Excel Entertainment is producing the film, and pre-production work is already underway. The cast has been finalized, featuring Jahnvi Kapoor as Draupadi, alongside Ali Fazal, Vijay Verma, Abinash Tiwari, and others.
Indian filmmakers are reviving the mythological genre, and it remains to be seen if Suriya will captivate audiences as Karna.
