Kavitha Slams Revanth Reddy’s Comments on KCR, Defends Telangana Chief Minister
In a strongly-worded response to Telangana Congress leader Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha called it “absurd and laughable” that Reddy referred to K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the Chief Minister and architect of Telangana, as a “weed.” Kavitha countered by asserting that KCR is not a mere plant to be uprooted, but rather a “shining star” who is the driving force behind the realization of Telangana statehood.
Kavitha made these comments during a meeting with key BRS party workers from the Korutla constituency at her residence. The session was attended by Korutla MLA Dr. Sanjay and Jagtial District President Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao, who also participated in the discussions. The BRS leader expressed her strong disapproval of Reddy’s remarks, highlighting KCR’s critical role in the state’s formation and development.
Addressing the party workers, Kavitha also issued a stern warning, stating that BRS workers would not remain silent if false cases were filed to harass them. She further criticized the opposition, accusing them of resorting to “abusive rhetoric” rather than focusing on effective governance. Kavitha contrasted the current administration’s actions with those of KCR’s leadership, stating that while under KCR’s governance, funds flowed freely for the development of Telangana, now the only thing flowing was “abuses.”
In a significant political claim, Kavitha also alleged that there are ongoing conspiracies to permanently abolish the Rythu Bandhu scheme, a flagship initiative by KCR that provides financial support to farmers in the state. Kavitha’s remarks reflect the growing political tensions in Telangana as the BRS continues to defend its leadership and policies against mounting opposition attacks.
