Wayanad (Kerala): KPCC chief K Sudhakaran on Wednesday suggested that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi might relinquish his Wayanad Lok Sabha seat.
Gandhi secured victories in both the Rae Bareli and Wayanad constituencies in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
At a public event organized to thank Gandhi’s supporters, Sudhakaran implied that Gandhi would step down as the Wayanad MP, stating, “We should not be saddened, as Rahul Gandhi, who is expected to lead the nation, cannot be confined to Wayanad.”
He further urged the public to support Gandhi’s decision, adding, “Therefore, we should not be sad. Everyone should understand that and extend their best wishes and support to him.”
